Acena Consulting - Relationships MatterCan we talk? I mean, really have a conversation?

In today’s world, the art of sitting down and having a conversation has been lost somehow. We text, email, post on Facebook or tweet something but when was the last time you really had a conversation with someone?

Perhaps it comes down to finding ways not to.

Not to share your dreams;

Not to share your experiences;

Not to let someone into those things that drive you. Relationships matter.

It’s much easier not to share.

Can I trust you?

I mean, really trust you.

Trust you to listen and not be distracted by your own thoughts, experiences and smartphone that keeps making vibrating.

When was the last time you sat with someone and just shared? Sharing yourself with the world means being open, being honest and trusting that your ideas, emotions and thoughts are accepted.

It’s much easier not to share.

Just tweet something easy; post something mundane or email a friend without sharing; safer that way too.

Can you relate to me? I mean, really understand me?

For that to happen, I need to be able to trust you. I need to know that you are listening.

It seems like a big circle; we don’t really talk because I don’t know if I can trust you. If I can’t trust you, why would we talk.

Passionate lives, great experiences and important relationships rarely stem from taking the wait and see path.

Sometimes that leap of faith is necessary if you want to achieve.

So, can we talk?
